Due to the potential spread of the COVID-19 virus, Mira Rai Initiative has made the difficult decision to suspend all races, events and programs as per the guidelines of government.

Bhojpur Trail Race

Bhojpur is the hometown of Mira, where she was born and raised, where she used to run up and down through the steep trails for her livelihood. A small trail Race was organized in the beginning to congratulate Mira for her success in the International arena by the local community in 2016.

Testimonials

It is an honor and a privilege to coach young athletes especially women trail runners of Mira Rai Initiative. To be able to bring women into the male dominated sport as trail running, I feel proud to be able to assist them in their quest to achieve their dreams and represent Nepal on a global level.

Bhim Gurung

Ultra Trail Runner and Mira Rai Initiative Coach

Being an alumni of MRI, I was able to gain valuable life experience. It is a huge honour for me today to be able to pass on my expertise to the new MRI athletes. In my opinion, knowledge is power, and knowledge shared is power multiplied.
